Wayne County Community College District offers former students debt relief

Part Time/Adjunct Faculty

Applications for part-time positions are accepted throughout the year and you can apply at any time.  The District maintains a pool of persons interested in part-time positions.  Once your application file is complete (consisting of a cover letter, a resume/vita, three letters of recommendation, official transcript from all post-secondary institutions and a completed Wayne County Community College District application), it is reviewed by the appropriate academic dean.  The reviews are done as the academic dean deem necessary and not by schedule.  Applicants determined to have the necessary qualifications for approval; after such approval, these names are placed in a pool and those applicants who are placed in the pool will be notified when needed.

The process to screen and certify applicants for part-time employment is a lengthy one; the District will notify applicants regarding their status for part-time employment opportunities only when there is an opening and an instructor is needed to teach a course.

Requirements:  Master’s degree in the discipline area.  For vocational/technical disciplines, applicants with Bachelor Degree must have a minimum of five years recent full-time experience; two years of which must be practical/hands-on experience in a related occupation or trade.  Applicants without Bachelor Degree must have a minimum of seven years recent full-time experience with two years of practical/hands-on experience in a related occupation or trade as determined necessary by the appropriate District academic administrator.

Thank you for your interest in Wayne County Community College District where students come first!
